Welcome to the Junior Ed Room – Where the Adventure of Growing Up Begins!

In our Junior Ed Room, every day is an exciting adventure! Our little explorers are busy discovering their independence, challenging both their bodies and minds, and realizing just how capable they really are. This space is carefully designed to keep them engaged, with fun and exciting challenges that encourage them to make choices, develop new skills, and explore their abilities.

We offer plenty of opportunities for imaginative play, teamwork, and physical challenges that help develop both fine and gross motor skills. Whether it’s building, running, or collaborating with friends, each activity is crafted to help your child grow, learn, and thrive.

As their language skills take off, we’re right there with them, guiding them through every milestone. Communication with families is so important to us, so we’ll always keep you updated on how your child is doing – from what they ate to how they interacted with their peers and what they’re curious about. We want to make sure you’re part of the journey every step of the way.

At this stage, the learning is non-stop, and we truly love watching the children grow and blossom. With a 1:5 educator-to-child ratio, we ensure that each child gets the attention they deserve, while fostering a fun, supportive, and safe environment where they can truly flourish.

Emma Vinson

Head Educator

Hi, I’m currently studying for my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, which fits perfectly with my love for working with children—especially since I have two energetic boys of my own who keep me on my toes! Soccer is a huge part of our lives. Not only do my boys play, but I also play and coach, which makes weekends extra exciting.

When I’m not on the field, I love being outdoors, especially fishing and crabbing. There’s nothing better than spending time by the water, enjoying the fresh air, and reeling in a great catch. When I do get some downtime, I love hitting the gym to stay active and unwinding with a good book. Oh, and if you ever need to guess my favourite colour—teal is definitely the winner!

Rebecca Malcolm

Hey, I’m Rebecca, but most people call me Miss Bec! I have a Certificate III in Early Childhood and Care, and I love working with children, helping them learn and grow through play and exploration.

When I’m not at work, you’ll find me soaking up the sunshine at the beach with my family. There's something so refreshing about the ocean breeze, the sound of the waves and spending quality time outdoors. I also have a real love for gardening – it’s my little escape where I can unwind, get my hands dirty, and watch plants grow. Whether it’s tending to my flowers, herbs or veggies, I find so much joy in being surrounded by nature.

Hey, I’m Maddie! I’m currently studying my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and I’m so close to completing it! Some things I enjoy include self-care, make up, shopping, and travelling to new places! I love working in childcare because I love teaching and guiding kids through their early years of life.

Hi, I have a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, and I’m currently studying for a Bachelor of Nursing. I’ve always had a passion for helping others, whether it’s working with kids or pursuing a career in healthcare. When I’m not busy with uni or at work, you’ll probably find me doing something active. I love going to the gym, riding motorbikes, and working with cattle. There’s something about the mix of adrenaline and the outdoors! Whether it’s the freedom of being on two wheels or the hands-on work with livestock, I enjoy staying connected to both fitness and country life.

Brady Hall

Hi, I’m currently studying my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. You’ll likely find me on my family’s farm, spending quality time with my loved ones. Life on the farm is always busy but it’s where I feel most at home, surrounded by nature and fresh air. Another big part of my life is sport. I love staying active, whether it's playing, watching, or simply being involved in the competitive spirit of the game.

A Typical Day in Our 2-3 Year Old Program

Free play

The day begins with a warm welcome and free play to help everyone ease into the day.

Circle time

This brings us together for songs, stories, and simple group learning that boosts early literacy and listening skills.

Creative play

Then, it’s off to creative exploration with activities like painting, building, and hands-on games that spark imagination and problem-solving.

Outdoor play

This is a daily highlight for the kids —whether it’s zooming around on trikes or digging in the sandpit, it’s all about movement and fun.

Lunch & rest time

After a healthy lunch, children enjoy a quiet rest or nap to recharge.

Group activities

In the afternoon, we gather for group activities and learning centres, exploring puzzles, pretend play, and themed experiences that help build cognitive, social, and emotional skills.

Free outdoor play

As children start to leave, we enjoy some free outdoor play to use up the last bit of energy.

How we help your Junior Ed kids learn through fun & nurturing.

At KidsCollege @Sarina, we understand the joys and challenges of raising a 2 or 3-year-old. It’s a time of incredible growth, big feelings, and endless curiosity. That’s why we’ve created a loving, structured environment where your child can feel confident, happy, and excited to learn each day.

Expressing their emotions and learning social skills

At this age, children are discovering how to express their emotions and interact with others in meaningful ways. They’re learning to share, take turns, and use words to communicate their needs—big milestones in social development! Our educators gently guide them through these important skills, helping them navigate friendships and feelings with kindness and care.

Steadfast language growth

Language is also growing rapidly during this stage. Our program supports speech development with lots of singing, storytelling, and playful conversations. We celebrate every new word and sentence, encouraging children to express themselves with confidence.

Fostering independence

Alongside this, we foster independence—whether it’s putting on shoes, using a spoon, or beginning potty training. Our team is always there to offer encouragement and support as little ones proudly say, “I can do it myself!”

The curious “Why?” stage

2- and 3-year-olds are naturally curious and love to ask “why?”—and we love that about them. Our days are filled with hands-on discovery in areas like science, art, and sensory play. From messy painting to digging in sensory bins, children explore and learn through fun, meaningful activities.

Seemingly endless energy

We also recognize their need to move! Our classrooms and outdoor areas are designed with active learners in mind, giving them plenty of space to run, climb, balance, and build physical skills in a safe and engaging way.
